Christy Thies

Christy Thies earned her BA in Social Work from the University of Iowa and her MSW from the University of Minnesota. For the past 14 years she has worked with the University of Iowa’s School of Social Work, serving as program coordinator for its Des Moines and Online social work programs. Prior to that, she worked with United Way of Central Iowa, Prevent Child Abuse Iowa and United Way of East Central Iowa, with a focus on program management, advocacy and improving community conditions.
