Betsy grew up in Venezuela, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from her Alma Mater, Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), and a degree in Visual Communication specializing in Digital Design from the Centro de Diseño Digital (CDD). After more than ten years in different educational positions as an instructor, trainer, coach, and associate director, she returned to the U.S. in 2017 to earn her master's in Human Computer Interaction from Iowa State University. Betsy has a strong background working in multicultural environments and enjoyed her four years of experience as a graduate research and teaching assistant on Education-related grants and departments. One of her passions is using technology for teaching and learning, primarily to support English Language Learners. In March 2022, Betsy joined CWRTP. Betsy lives with her daughter and two cats. She enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
