Program Coordinator II
This position collaborates with ISU’s Service Training Principal Investigators and CWRTP Director toward completion of projects and daily activities, as well as strategic planning and goal setting. The position coordinates with ISU contract staff and DHS to develop a comprehensive initial and on-going service training program for DHS social workers, supervisors and community partners.
Responsibilities include supervising and evaluating the work of contract staff engaged in training, development, fiscal, and contracting activities; overseeing the work of externally contracted trainers; assuring delivery of contracted deliverables; and preparing contract activity reports. The position oversees preparation and management of the budget in accordance with ISU’s and the sponsor’s terms and conditions, applicable state and federal regulations, institutional policies, and match requirements. The position works with multi-institutional partners and community providers to develop the deliverables of the Service Training Contract. The position collaborates with DHS to identify funding streams to support the DHS’s service training program. The position assigns appropriate benefiting programs for federal funds and applies funding formulas enhancing the percentage of federal funding. This position also assures the accurate preparation of any modification award actions such as amendments, budget revisions, changes in scope of work and special requests as required. The position requires the ability to work well under pressure, make independent decisions, work well with others and independently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication and team building skills are essential.
Position involves travel to Des Moines and occasional travel throughout the state to attend contract-related meetings and trainings.
All accrued vacation must be used during term of this appointment, any unused vacation will be forfeited upon termination from Iowa State University. Position renewal is subject to continuing availability of funds.
